On 2006-01-21, David rated this Dunlop Utility a 5...(6620)

Details: Utility wedge with Aldila Motive stock shaft. 22 Degrees.

Purchase: The Sports Authority. Super clearance deal for $22.50
Pros: Bought the 19*, 22*, and 24* utility wedges as the they were the deal of a life time. Originally $59, marked to $49, on sale for $29, plus 25% off to make them $22.50. So I had to get them on the blind, am building a new set and just picked up my Ping G-5's from the fitter. But like many, I wanted to avoid the long irons and get some hybrids/utilities. After hitting my new G-5's, I decided to give the 22* a few cuts. One word, WOW!. I am not a hard swinger, and I am not worthy enough for the G-5's either. But this Dunlop Utility 22* is unbelievable. First, on my mishits, they still went straight. Missed more up and down then left to right. But getting on top of the ball I still hit it straight about 155 yds but basically a line drive. My solid hits were pretty. Nice trajectory, dead straight, and the 22* took me about 190-195 yards. I don't know if thats long or short, but thats about what it was just on carry. Club feels real nice, shaft feels perfect, and now I'm wondering if I'm gonna need my Ping 5 iron with the 24* loft I got too. No sense it getting rid of them for $22.50. If you can find em, pick em up, worth every penny. Remember, I shoot around a 100, so I'm not good in any stretch of the imagination. But to know that and know that every shot went pin straight should tell you something.
Cons: The only thing I don't like is the cheesy 'S' (for Solution) on the top of the face. Thats it.
Quality: Feels like a nice solid club.

Review Summary: Get em if you can!
