On 2003-07-29, MikeO rated this Dynacraft Jackaroo II a 5...(1916)

Purchase: I ordered the components from Dynacraft.18° and 23° heads, TTLiteXL shafts, trimmed stiff, and Winn diamond dry grips. I decided to try these clubs because I was disatisfied with any 'off the rack' clubs I tried. I assembled for <$50 each.
Pros: First off, I liked the Candy Apple Red finish of the clubheads. I liked being able to have a club made to my specs without spending an arm and a leg. All this would mean nothing if the clubs didn't perfrom. But, perform, they did. Having steel shafts, with a mid bend point, allowwed me to feel secure hitting down on the ball like I prefer to do from the fairway or rough. The ball shoots off the clubface, and comes up fast to extricate itself from the nastiest rough I've experienced so far. The height and distance of the shot is at least what I expected from a 5 and 7 wood. Finally, I feel confident going after a ball in the thick stuff, (or even in the thin stuff).
Cons: I can't think of anything bad to say about these clubs.
Quality: Assembled with the above components, The Jackaroo II is a very attractive club.

Review Summary: You can't go wrong with the Jackaroo II. I've used many different clubs of this type, The Cobra Baffler, Callaway Heavenwood, the original Jackaroo, and many lesser known brands. They all have good qualities, but the Jackaroo II seems to bring them together. It is a confidence building club that will get looks of approval from your buddies.
