On 2008-08-25, DocT rated this Dynamics Swing Glove a 5...(8161)

Details: White leather glove. Wrap-around Velcro strap at wrist and standard Velco strap at back of hand. Added layer of leather at palm for better grip. Aluminum swivel at the back of the wrist with a sewn-in metal (aluminum?) plate that covers the back hand and wrist, hindging right over the wrist. 'Dynamic Swing Glove' logo on the backhand Velcro strap.

Purchase: I actually purchased this about 2 years ago when I first started to play golf. I forgot I had this until recently when I began to lose my swing. I purchased this product at Plaza Golf in Torrance, CA. I don't remember what I paid for it, probably a little more than a standard glove.
Pros: The glove immediately reminds you not to cup your wrist, and provides feedback of your wrist cock and position throughout your swing. Somewhat forces your wrist to remain in position even after teeing off.
Cons: Either my hands grew or the glove shrank in the past 2 years, because the thumb no longer fits properly. The metal plates in the glove that hold your hands in place with your arm is a little flimsy, but it does its job. Not recommended for those who've been golfing all their life, as the feedback might be a bit frustrating. The glove is hot in warm weather, as the gloves fit goes beyond the wrist for the proper fitting.
Quality: Construction seems to be really great, as it's lasted over 2 years. Unfortunately, the leather really does shrink over time and it will get tight to get your hands back in it.

Review Summary: Terrific training aid to help instill the feeling of the proper wrist cock and position for a swing. Great for the beginners to try out before bad habits begin to form. Just remember that this glove is NOT USGA conforming, thus you can not use this glove during a tournament round.
