On 2005-01-25, Preston M. Moretz rated this Elevon Tour Grade Hybrid a 5...(4959)

Purchase: I was looking for a hybrid utility club and all the name brands I tried had me hitting extreme hooks. I saw this advertised from Clubmaker Online via the Internet (http://www.elevongolf.com). I purchased it with a True Temper Crossfire shaft for $99. Also purchased a suede hybrid headcover for $12, which protects the club nicely.
Pros: Unlike the TaylorMade Rescue, Sonartec, Hogan, Callaway, et al, this hybrid has a square face, allowing me to hit straighter shots and avoiding the dreaded duck hook. (And please note that I am an extreme TM fan--Driver, fairway wood and irons in my bag) I have used it successfully on long par 3s, approach shots, par 5s and even to chip or bump and run. The shaft is top-notch and compliments the club beautifully. Plus the price is right and Clubmaker Online will gladly work with you on shaft and grip options. It nromally comes with the news full release grip, but I opted for a more standard wrap grip.
Cons: Nothing! It has been in my bag since I purchased it last summer.
Quality: The craftsmanship matches any of the "name" brands. Club head is a rich copper color and the wieght is just enough to let you feel it throughtout the swing without feeling too heavy or light. Matched with the True Temper Crossline shaft, this is a premium club.

Review Summary: For anyone looking for a solid, dependable hybrid club that won't break the budget, don't be afraid to go with the Elevon Tour Grade Hybrid. I have had outstanding results with this club off the tee, off the fairway, out of the rough, and around the greens (ala Todd Hamilton at Troon).
