Purchase: I purchased these shoes at the Fresh Pond Golf Course Pro Shop. I was looking for a comfortable, affordable pair of shoes, and acquired these for 79.00.
Pros: I have a difficult time finding women's shoes that accomodate my wide forefoot and relitively narrow heel. I also have a tendency to experience pain across my instep, and usually require an orthotic. I tried on may models of Nike, Adidas and Footjoy shoes, all of which (in med. width_ were too narrow and inflexible across the forefoot. When I put on the Etonics, I was amazed at the comfort, as well as the combination of forefoot flex and mid-sole stability. Although I was in the market for cleated shoes the immediate comfort of this model pursuaded me to give the non-cleated alternative a try. They also come with a one-year waterproof guarantee--important in soggy New England.
Cons: I am a little wary of a non-cleated shoe, but am willing to give it a shot for the sake of my feet.
Quality: The shoes appear to be well constructed. The shoes are well-matched (ofen, mass produced shoes have a visable varience between left and right), with even stitching, what appears to be a well-glued welt, and a smooth sock liner. The inner sole is removeable and well-designed.

Review Summary: Comfort on the links is essential, and as I struggle with this issue when hiking--or even walking any significant distance--I wanted to make sure my golf shoes did not distract me with pain. I trust the Etonics will nicely fill this bill, although the non-cleated design was a bit of a compromise. If I was not on a budget, I likely would have sprung for this years cleated model. If I like these shoes as much as I hope I will, I might just save up for a cleated pair for sloppy days!
