On 2005-06-01, Chuck rated this Feel X Wrap Full Release Grip a 3...(5595)

Purchase: Acquired directly from Feel Golf at Feelwedges.com. $99 for grip kit of 13 units. Also, ordered a kit of 3 grips to do other clubs.
Pros: The grip works well for me as I have small hands and use a ten finger grip. The smaller butt end allows me to have a more solid hold of the club in my left hand while the thicker toe end slows down my right hand. For me, I have a more solid grip and higher swing speed.
Cons: What is with the materials this grip is made of? After a round of golf my right hand is blackened with rubber residue and my glove black as well. While some of the black discoloration washes away, the black guck has dis-colored my skin in places (callouses are discolored). After golf, you look like you have done a shift at a tire shop. Seriously, there is a problem with the materials used.
Quality: Concept is good. Grip seems durable. But rubber material seems cheap and is awful (see above). Did they make these of re-cycled tires?

Review Summary: If you are a ten finger golfer, take a look at these grips. But don't buy the X Wrap version. First of all, X Wrap is miss-leading. It is not a wrap comparable to Winn or other manufacturers but is a rubber grip molded to somewhat look like a wrap. The real issue is with the rubber material which discolors and dirties your hands after a round of golf or practice. Look at the other models of Full Release Grips before you buy. I have not tried the others but maybe they do not discolor as badly. If Feel Golf does not resolve the cheapness of the materials, I am switching back to Winn.
