Purchase: $140 on ebay (a steal)
Pros: The weight, forgiveness, trajectory, accuracy and the awesome feel.
Cons: There is very little to dislike. The rifle 6.0 stiff steel shafts fitted to my clubs are maybe a bit on the stiff side. You really have to swing the club to get the ball moving. But the combination of shaft and head do provide amazing accuracy.
Quality: Outsanding, the heads are magnificent to look at, and the rifle shafts complete the stunning club. The heads and shafts feel very consistent throughout the set and are beautifully weighted.

Review Summary: These clubs are truly beautiful, to look at and to play with. I have been an avid fan of blades for many years, having used a set of my grandpas old macgregors as my first set, I moved onto a set of hogans about 10 years ago. I broke the six iron in the hogans on a tree and the rest just seemed to wear out with too much playing. About 5 years ago I stopped playing golf and then 3 years ago started up again and couldnt hit the hogans very well so I bought a set of cavity backed clubs because of their forgiveness. This year I started playing more and the cavity backed clubs just dont have the feel I wanted. I tried to switch back to the hogans but they are just too worn out. I decided to buy a new set of hogans (I really loved those clubs) and I stumbled onto the feel competitor blades going dirt cheap on ebay. I read a few reviews and took a punt, winning an auction with rifle 6.0 steel shafts fitted. I can honestly say I am so very glad I did. These blades are truly amazing. My confidence in my golf has never been so high. These clubs are accurate, have great forgiveness for a blade and just feel sensational. I really cant wait to get out on the course every weekend now, and have been visiting the range just so I can hit these beautiful clubs. If you have always wanted to try out a set of blades, these are the ones for you. You will not find a more forgiving blade that does not sacrifice feel and workability. And the fact that they sell so cheap on ebay, you really wont find better value for money.
