On 2004-06-28, Georgia golfer rated this FootJoy Classics a 3...(3808) Review Summary: Even though the shoes were out of their warranty period, I didn't expect a shoe of this price to disintegrate. I always placed cedar shoe trees in the shoes when not in use. On 2002-04-10, Steve rated this FootJoy Classics a 4...(44) Review Summary: The purchase of this shoe really is dicated on whether the majority of your golf is played walking or riding the course. At first the shoe was very stiff after walking a few rounds. They never really felt as if they became broken in. Also, per Footjoy's instructions, I meticulously applied waterproofing, shoe oils, post play cleaning instructions, etc.... The non "dry" models hold water like a sponge and begin to feel like concrete boots after a wet round. You feet and legs will hurt in damp conditions. In dry conditions they are fine and comfortable but still heavy compared to less expensive, lighter brands. Keep this in mind. Also after spending so much I feel almost obliged not to scatch them or or get them dirty. Upkeep is time consuming. Find somebody at your club to keep them in shape.
