Purchase: I had it installed for about $105 at a local shop. I put it in my taylormade 540. The OEM shaft was OK, but I had heard that all the action was in the shaft so I took their recommendation on what might be a step up.
Pros: I like the unit a lot, it's predictable to and extend. If I need a nice fade I can set up for it and expect it. If I need low I can set up for it and expect it. With the OEM I was not able to do this, it was sort of pot luck. It's not super long, but on a couple of occasions I was 280. Most of the time I'm about 225 off the tee.
Cons: Nothing really. I tried a 580xd and got more of a fade than the VP. I suspect that the OEM on the 580 was opening up on the down swing.
Quality: It's like any good shaft, solid, good feel. No sense of flopping around.

Review Summary: I think they are down around $65.00 now and if you have a 580xd, or something in that class I would think about upgrading. It made my head more playable, and a little bit longer I suspect by virtue of straighter.
