Details: 18* 5 wood head. 175CC head, 34mm face height. black crown.

Purchase: I got this head from Golfsmith for $22 to replace a different one I didn't like very much.
Pros: I have a 15* 3 wood and a 21* 7 wood, so I wanted a 18* 5 wood to fit in between. The face is HS350 steel, one of the hottest face material used for woods. I like an oversize wood with a taller than average fach height, and this head is very nice in these areas. I head I replaced had a lot of loft angle varieantion from sole to crown, and if I teed up the ball too high, the ball flight was too high and I lost some 30 yards of carry. This 5 wood is very consistant and therefore much more foregiving in term of distance.
Cons: If you like an alignment mark on the top of your woods, you'll have to add your own, as the crown of this head of all black.
Quality: Quality is first rate. Very nice looking head and hot face add up to a very nice fairway wood.

Review Summary: I like hot faced fairway woods, which is one reason I got this 5 wood. The face is as hot as any you will find. I've only had one chance to measure my yardage with this 5 wood, and I measure it at 258 yards with roll. I was quite impressed with that, and will be happy if I average that with a 5 wood. The tall face height gives me a lot of confidence when I hit this club off a tee, as I have more room for error. Very foregiveing wood, which can't hurt. Mid ball flight head design.
