Purchase: Purchased at Golfsmith, on clearance sale for $14.97 (head only). Built with matching Hi Cor GS-50 shaft (left-handed club head and left-handed shaft).
Pros: I was really struggling with my old 3 wood, mis-hits, no distance, no ball loft, so it mostly sat in my bag unused. I had changed my stance, my swing, my grip, nothing helped. Then I changed my club and built a new 3 wood using the GOLFSMITH Hi Cor Fairway Left Hand Metal Wood Head with the Hi-COR GS-50 Graphite Shaft. What a difference! This club is easy to swing, has a sweet sound and is very forgiving. I really think that this club is easier to use than most hybrid clubs.
Cons: I'm still looking for something not to like...
Quality: Like all of the Golfsmith Hi Cor products, this head is of quality construction and material. The finish is outstanding and the face and sole do not mar easily.

Review Summary: If you are even thinking about building your ouwn 3 woood, take a look at this head and shaft combination! At this current clearance price, you just can't go wrong!
