Purchase: Purchased these irons on a whim from Golfsmith; pre-assembled. They came with regular flex - True Temper - Shafts. The price was $99.00 - 3 thru SW. They were sold as demo's but it was obvious they were never hit.
Pros: These irons were originally produced in two different forgings; one was 304 Stainless the other was 8020 Stainless. I purchased the 304 SS that was somewhat softer steel. If you like a thin topline and great feel then this is a great workable set of irons. I am a 6 handicap and have tweeked and built my own clubs for years. This is the best iron I have hit in many years, since my 1983 Wilson Staff model FG-17. This club is not for everyone because it is less forgiving as it is a forged set. It is the most workable a best feeling set of irons I have ever played; including all the "Big Names", ie. Titleist, Cleveland, Ping, etc.
Cons: The softer steel makes it easier to "bang up" if you strike an underlying hard object, but other than that the clubs are great!
Quality: Well built, very eye-appealing, and playable.
