Purchase: I decided to put together a couple of component gunmetal wedges and Golfsmith was the obvious choice. I paid around $75 each including assembly through a friend.
Pros: Plays as well or better than most top end wedges I've tried. The Royal Precision Wedge shaft (gunmetal as well) and Winn Tour Diamond grips probably are half of the good results. Not only does it have amazing feel, but they are the best looking wedges I've ever seen.
Cons: I had the 56* with 14* of bounce bent to 54* with 12* of bounce. I can't think of anything wrong with them after that change. They now match my irons great.
Quality: Construction was done by a clubmaker known online as Jeff_H. He did an excellent job. You can contact him at clubmaker@fuse.net if you wish. They feel as solid as my Mizunos if not better.

Review Summary: These Golfsmith wedges are as good as Vokey, 588, etc. Only reason not to get them is if the bounce angles and lofts don't match your set. Don't let the beautiful gunmetal look and the slightly lower price scare you away.
