On 2004-05-07, Tman in Miami rated this Hippo 460 CC a 5...(3608)

Purchase: I bought this club on Ebay for $45 because I had some cash left in my PayPal account. Bought it the last week of April '04 and used it once. For a 50+ year old golfer, I usually was happy to get 225-260 or so out of my Taylor Made Burner 420. Then I set up this monster of a club and WHAM! The first drive without much effort ripped dead straight about 275. I was impressed, but more so on a dead straight 345 par four - I drove 10 yards off dead center front of the green. Unbeleivable!
Pros: Light in my hands, great whip action with the graphite shaft. Sets up easy to the ball and simple to swing.
Cons: Not much to not like except maybe the longevity as stated by other reviews. We will see.
Quality: Not bad, I love the feel of the club and address is simple. The thing is huge!

Review Summary: I love the driver. It took the big fade out of my drive. I have since ordered the 500cc model for weekend play with the guys. For the price, if it lasts one season, the club is worth it guys - even more than I originally thought.
