Purchase: After becoming absolutely hooked on golf, I decided I might as well get the best there is and Honma Golf is it. I purchased my set at Rowland Golf center for $4,500.00.
Pros: I love everything about these irons. The craftmanship is absolutely amazing. These clubs are pretty much made by hand. 24 kt golf inlays, hosels, and plating are exquisitely presented in these clubs.
Cons: There is nothing I don't like about these irons.
Quality: Hand made construction of gold as previously stated. The shaft technology is light years ahead of other companies. Graphite shaft performance with the feel of steel is amazingly showcased. Swing weight is C-7. Amazing.

Review Summary: These clubs are the best in Honma's line. They are three star with five star being the most expensive. Performance wise, the retailer told me there really is no difference. The main differences are the materials used; more gold, diamonds encrusted shaft, etc., and the price; about $24,500 dollars for the five star irons. These clubs are really easy to hit and are extremely forgiving. They are not, however, for players shooting over 100, for head size is not oversized like the Callaways and Cobras. The distance achieved is amazing. I'm 5-9, 155lbs and I can hit the 7 iron close to 170 yards without swinging too hard. Ball flight is mid/high. The shafts being graphite don't sacrifice the control as one might think. Honma has all kinds of patents and secrets in shaft technology. Go to HonmaGolf.com. If your serious about your game and if money is no object, get the best. Forget about all the other stuff out there.
