On 2004-09-11, Rain Golfer rated this Inazone Allure a 5...(4341)

Purchase: I purchased this putter from diamondtour.com, which is component company. The head put me back $17, the single bend shaft was $3.25 and I put the new Winn X17 jumbo grip on it for $4.95. Before shipping we are up to about twenty five bucks.
Pros: Like most people who make their own clubs, you end up tinkering around quite a lot with different components. I have been using a Snake Eyes MC3 putter for several years and really like it. I buy all my wedges from Diamond Tour and decided to browse their putter heads one day. About a year ago I found a Nike Oz clone that they carry made by Inazone called T+. For a birthday gift for my father, I made the T+ for both him and my mother. They both love this putter! My dad is one of the best putters that I have ever seen and he said that this was a better putter than his Carbite. He claimed that it rolled truer than any putter he ever had. I tried it out and sure enough it rolled true without skidding right to where you aim and speed became the only concern. I decided to make an Inazone for myself and recently ordered the Allure, which is the McGregor MOI clone. The claims from Diamond Tour where that it positions the center of gravity in the optimal position behind the face where you impact the ball while putting. This transfers into terrific stability and forgiveness. This putter will also reduce "Skidding" of the ball off the face for a better roll towards the cup. I thought for $25 what did I have to lose? My order came, you can have them assembled for a small fee, and I put it together. I played in a company best ball tourney the next day and was hesitant to switch putters without practicing. The first hole my partner ended up with KP on a par 3 of 14 feet. My new Inazone Allure polished of our first birdie and thus began the grin that eventually turned into an all day smile. The next hole we scrambled and had about a 25 footer left for par. This was no match for the Allure and I drained it. The third hole we had about a 30 footer for bird and, with some confidence in my equipment, I trusted the putter and stroked it in. Three holes, about 70 feet, two birds and a par with only three putts. At the turn the club pro saw the Allure in my bag and was drawn to it. I told him the next time I come out he can try it out on the putting green. He is heading off to Q school soon and I plan on making an Inazone Allure for him to take with him. I would highly advise anyone who cares more about making putts than what name is on their putter to buy this putter. You will not be unhappy but your regular foursome probably will be.
Cons: There is nothing at all wrong with this club other than the fact that you make more putts so you won't need to use it as much.
Quality: The quality is excellent and the head has some weight to it so it feels very sturdy all the way through impact. At impact the ball rolls off the club face nicely. I line the ball name up towards the cup and notice that when I putt the name sort of ends up lookig like a solid line that stays on line with the target.
