On 2003-03-10, Ian Smith rated this Integra 650 cc Soo Long a 5...(1007)
Purchase: I purchased the Driver on the Net from Diamond Golf and paid $US69 + shipping to Australia. My reason for doing so was that this is the most convenient method of purchase, it's easy, fast reliable, cheaper as well as ensuring the latest technology. And that's why I chose the Integra Soo Loong biggest driver on the market at 650CC. It is verrry large almost obscene.
Pros: I am a 6 marker and am not that long off the tee. So I went searching for a weapon that would give me extra distance without sacrificing accuracy. My search area began on the web and I started to compare club performance for both clones and the real thing. I even asked Ernie Els what he used to get an extra 30 metres. The reply - was both ball and Driver were prototypes unavailable. The driver I chose is the latest from Integra, It is the largest driver on the market with the biggest hitting surface area. I decided on this because I felt that the bigger the better and wanted to try for fun. The unit arrived and I put the longest stiffest lightest shaft I could find to balance the club and make it look and feel right. My local club Pro recommended the shaft and installed same."That legal", "Can they get any bigger", "Wow is that a trick club or something". By the way I needed very long tees to get the ball high enough to align with the hitting area. Well My first hit was awesome. On the first tee at Ocean Shores Counrty Club in Northern NSW AUS, a 495 Metre Par 5 I smack the ball 260 Metres on the fly. The first time I had been any where near there. It enabled me to have a go at the green which I did and landed pin high off the egde. I was sold. Since then I have been averaging 250 Mtres at least 30 metres longer than my Callaway Hawk Eye and straight. In two rounds I have missed two drives through a poor swing. The length of the shaft seems OK and the weight and feel are excellent. I would recomend this club to anyone wanting extra distance and accuracy.
Cons: The problem with this club is that they don't make a head cover big enough. I had to have my Koala Bear head cover modified and extended to fit. I now have a beauty. It will also turn heads particularly when I travel overseas. I have now christened my new club as the "Big Bear" no offence Jack but it fits rather than "Big Dog" my previously named driver. Also the club doesn't fit in my golf bag because it is too long. The Soo Long is also too long. That's irony for you.
Quality: Excellent finish! Quality is as good as it gets. Very pleased with the unit from an appearance viewpoint. It turns heads!
Review Summary: The best purchase I have ever made. Value for money, quality, performance and above all a real talking piece. I like it I think it is terrif and am glad I chose to undertake a search on the web. Thankyou Diamond Golf.
