On 2004-12-09, MOTiger rated this Integra SoooLong 600 a 4...(4833)

Purchase: I acquired this unit from Value Golf and paid $150.
Pros: This club did what others have failed to do - it added yardage to my drives. Significant yardage. I had been using a Ping G2 with a stiff 65 Gr. Blue shaft and 8.5 loft. It's a nice club. But the Integra SoooLong 600 blows by it like a Ferrari past a Ford. This beast of a club has added 15-20 yards per drive. I purchased it online from Value Golf with a 10.5 loft and Gr. Blue 65 R shaft. This club is long, soft, and once I finally got it under control, straight. I used it recently on a Vegas golf junket in which I played four courses in four days. The only drive that got away from me was a dead pull on the last hole at TPC Canyons that ended up about 150 ft. below in a canyon. Not even my 60 degree could have got it out of that. The price was also half of what I paid for the G2.
Cons: At first this thing was really a beast to control. The first time I used I was slicing balls wildly. How wildly? I was visiting places on the course that I'd never seen before. One memorable shot actually sliced over two-fairways. However, once I got it under control, the distance has just been remarkable. During my Vegas trip (yes, the air is thinner) I drove the ball over a 320 yd. par 4, and made 3 of the 4 par 5s in two. Another drawback is that the club is not PGA compliant, thus making it ineligible for use in sanctioned events.
Quality: Construction is outstanding.

Review Summary: This will be a fun club to use in scrambles and other non-sanctioned events. Given what it can do, it's a hard club to keep in the trunk, even knowing it's not PGA compliant. I would have rated it a '5' if it were legal.
