Purchase: I purchased this unit from an ebay supplier out of Monash, Canberra, Australia for $A $200 delivered to my home in Newcastle (May 2003). I had an 18 yr old Pro-simmon wooden driver which had decayed and was no longer useful. I am off a handicap of 13 and needed a boost to my game and so I decided to purchase a big driver for added accuracy (bigger sweet spot) rather than added distance. The Sooo Long 650cc driver arrived at my door 2 days after purchase. Upon opening the package I was greeted by a new companion soon to be named "Sam". I took Sam up to my bedroom to sleep with me that night (much to the dismay of my wife) in the hope he would perform off the tee as I had invisaged. Sure enough the next day I took the driver to the practice range and found I hit about 200m on the fly (same as my old driver) but with much more accuracy and forgiveness. My once feared duck hook off the tee was gone, and now I had a consistent fade with distance. My new friend was a great addition on the driving range. Since the first hit-out I have played 5 rounds at various courses, all below my handicap of 13, which is a great change from playing to 18, which was where I was headed. On my first competition round I managed to hit a golfer off the tee (for the first time in 20 years of golf). The bloke I hit (In the forehead on the fly) was a 60 yr old veteran of my home club named Sam. My playing partners then christened my new driver "Sam". After Sam (the golfer) went to hospital for stitches my mates made light of the situation by calling my new driver "Slamming Sammy Snead", "Sam I am" and even said I might have to put an "In Memory of Sam" plaque on my new driver in case Sam didn't pull through. Fortunately Sam is fine and back playing golf much to my relief. In summary the Integra 650cc driver is very consistent with a huge forgiving sweetspot, and is just as long as any well hit driver on the market. I fully recommend this driver to anyone who wants to eliminate trouble off the tee and make a new friend like "Sam".
Pros: Huge sweetsot which still delivers 200m+ carry off the tee when hit somewhere near the middle.
Very asthetic driver with great appearance (well proportioned).
Priced extremely well and performs better than Callaway and Taylor Made drivers for this 13 handicapper.
Cons: A minor problem is the high pitched noise produced upon contact. A bit like hitting a hammer an plate steel. I am now use to this noise and is no longer an issue for me. Others call "Sam" the bell ringer etc out of jellousy.
Quality: Very thin titanium construction. In the first month I estimate I have hit about 600 hard and soft balls with no effect on the club. No sign of damaged nor degredation. Very well produced and presented.
Review Summary: I love my new driver. 10 out of 10.
