On 2003-09-18, C Nagappa rated this Jazz P2W Utility Clubs (4i and 3i) a 5...(2329)

Purchase: Bought at bargain at GolfTown, Richmond, BC, Canada for CAD $39 each (USD $27 each)
Pros: I bought two Jazz Golf "play 2 win" (P2W) utilities, both with Jazz "Fat Cat" graphite shafts by TrueTemper: P2W 3i with 19 deg. loft (replaces 3 iron) P2W 4i with 22 deg. loft (replaces 4 iron) Both are bottom weighted and very easy and fogiving to hit. They produce a high curved trajectory which produces a soft landing and very little roll as compared to the corresponding irons they replace. Furthermore both clubs produces 20 to 30 yards more distance than the irons they replace. You can play these clubs quite well from the rough. They have large sweetspots and the sound on hitting is very mellow. Like all Jazz Golf clubs, these utilities have a very distinctive look.
Cons: Nothing really. Some people may not like the distinctive look of the Jazz Golf clubs. I guess they are not meant for the low handicapper and may not be favoured by the Pros.
Quality: The length of these clubs is more or less the same as the 3 and 4 irons they replace. The club head face looks very much like irons with the back hollowed like a wood (but with less volume than a wood). The quality of construction of the grip, shaft and club head is very good (a tad shy of the TaylorMade Rescues).

Review Summary: I have been playing golf seriously for less than six months. I bought these utility clubs to replace my Dunlop 3 and 4 irons, which I found difficult to hit. Adams Golf Tight Lies and TaylorMade Rescue utilities were beyond my price point, and when GolfTown had a sale of these JazzGolf utilities it was a no-brainer. (I have previously bought a few Jazz Golf clubs with nothing less than spectacular results: Driver, 7 wood and 9 wood which were very forgiving and gave good distance). I have only been hearing good things about Jazz Golf products. The hype that Jazz Golf spends its money on research and not on marketing seems to be true! Jazz Golf products are generally priced at mid range (less than half of what you would pay for the higher end TaylorMades, Clevelands and Callaways) but in performance most users swear that they match these higher end brands. Unfortunately, Jazz Golf products are mainly available in Canada. US golfers should check their website or call them for US retailers.
