On 2007-01-23, Count Yogi Fan rated this KZG Gemini II a 5...(7597)

Details: 460cc, Aldila NV 55 stiff-46',low loft.

Purchase: I was upgraded free of charge to this driver as a replacement to my Gemini (over $500. Cdn) which finally developed a crack.
Pros: I'm a fan of the double face - the original Gemini worked really well for me. Somewhere I read that the Gemini II uses the SP 700 titanium (which I believe is the best material for a driver face) - the KZG website is never up to date so to confirm tech infomation on the Gemini II is a guessing game whether the info is on the original Gemini or the Gemini II. The LL or Low Loft on this driver gives me an excellent trajectory and some roll. The club is long and very accurate.
Cons: I've written to KZG about the way this club lies at address. The shape of the sole tends to open the face and you have to twist the grip over slightly to square it. It's a small thing - the second time out I hit all fairways on a very, very tough golf course and shot a 70. I've actually built up the back of the sole with a few layers of masking tape as a temporary fix just to see how it works and WOW - this driver is incredible. The KZG representative returned my email right away- saying he'll check out the design of the sole.
Quality: This is a premium driver. KZG makes quality and backs their equipment should there be a problem. The black finish and pear shape head is classic!

Review Summary: I've seen people write that the COR and 460cc size have been max'ed out - so all new drivers are the same - also they complain that all new drivers only hit the ball straight and long down the middle. I'm now a plus 1 handicap but five years ago I was a 24 handicap and would have died for long and straight down the middle every time. The new drivers all seem to come with a 'tour' version for players who can work the ball - the Gemini II has the LL and ML. This is a great driver but it really is a matter of testing which brand and model is best for you. I'm sold on KZG - it works the best for me and its so much fun always being in the fairway.
