Details: 2' over standard Nippon 850 GH shafts with Lampkin crossline osw/4 wraps

Purchase: I purchased my KZG evolution irons from full swing golf shop in Anchorage Alaska. John Gose custom club maker, made the club for me. I paid $600 for the 5 thru p/w.
Pros: Being 6'9 I have found that custom made golf clubs are the way to go. I like the feel of the clubs and the distance I am able to hit each club and still maintain a good smooth rhythm. They are beautiful to look at and perform as well as they look.
Cons: nothing
Quality: Top notch would recommend these irons for anyone wanting to improve their iron play. The double forge process provides great feel.

Review Summary: I played the mc-2 before trying the evolutions and at first thought it might be to much for me to handle but found just the opposite.I Iove the distance and feel these clubs provide. I am glad my club fitter recommended these with the Nippon 850 shafts. Great club for the money and know custom fitting is the only way to go.

Purchase: Once again, Jim Smiley at Sunnybrook Golf in Manassas VA hooked me up. For $650 he built these in chrome (almost too pretty to hit) with Rifle Airlite Shafts and Winn V17 Arrow Grips. I had sold off my irons to my buddy and wanted something new. After hitting almost everything out there, these outperformed pretty much everything I hit and the price was less than almost all of them with customized shafts. After 4 months of looking, I finally found a home.
Pros: These are absolutely beautiful heads. Well balanced and solid. These are double forged and the ball fires off the head with a nice high trajectory, which suits my swing style and speed.
Cons: As with any forged head, on a cold day, you really feel a mis-hit. Goodness! But these are perfect. The price could be the only factor for most, but for the money, you really can't do much better.
Quality: First rate. Again, almost too pretty to hit. They perform extremely well. A master club builder makes all the difference in putting the right combination of head and shaft together. I'm convinced KZG is trying to take on all of the big boys.

Review Summary: My clubmaker told me that these irons won the Emerging Companies and design award at the 2003 PGA merchandise show. That helped convince me that these were for real. Then I hit the 5-iron demo 195 yards. That finished it for me. Try these out. If you're willing to spend $1100 on Mizuno's, you'll be as happy as I am. And I have money left over for fairway woods, which I'll review later once I play a round.
