Purchase: Purchased from internet store as a component head for $80 and assembled with a 46" Harrison Striper titanium shaft and winn grip.
Pros: Affordable enough to let you try various shafts to fit your swing. The driver is extremely long and accurate because of it's size. Very very forgiving and tendency is to hit straight. Also because of the driver's head size, it allows you to assemble it with longer length shafts. Has a great resale value on ebay if you change your mind. The orginal 400cc driver head hits exactly like the newer v.2 but without the dark coating and higher price tag. The club hits to it's stated loft with a boring trajectory that doesn't balloon and has tons of roll. Have tested the Alpha Reaction against Taylormade, Cleveland, Titleist, Bang, and other OEMs and it hits much straighter and just as long or longer on average. Cons: Nothing to dislike, except that you do need extra long tees because of the extra tall face (60 mm) of the driver.
Quality: First rate quality, comparable to OEM companies, but without the high cost that the OEM companies need to recover from pro endorsements and advertising.
