Purchase: Walmart, $20
Pros: This hybrid has 22 degrees of loft, making it easy to get the ball in the air from the fairway, and even from the rough. Impact has a very satisfying feel. I find it much easier to use than a standard 3 iron. In fact, I stopped carrying my 3 iron some time ago; it was just dead weight in my bag. With the Rippa I am able to hit the ball 190-200 yards, straight, from the fairway. From a low tee, it goes 220-230, making it almost superfluous to carry a 3 wood. And the price is right!
Cons: Haven't found anything to dislike about it.
Quality: Compact "teardrop" head, with peripheral tungsten inserts for stability, and a "power channel," i.e., a groove around the perimeter--not sure what that's about. "HM Platinum" Hi modulus, low torque, intermediate flex shaft, .370 tip. Intech grip.

Review Summary: This inexpensive hybrid is now arguably the most important club in my bag. I'm not a skilled golfer, but I find this club easy enough to use, to get to the other end of those long fairways. I hit quite straight with it most of the time. For some reason, I'm unable to find anything about this club on the internet. Walmart doesn't even list it online, but I've seen it in several of their stores. I plan to buy another one, to keep in reserve in case something happens to this one. There may be better hybrids for more money, but I've been very pleased with this club.
