On 2004-09-19, CJP rated this Lovett Wedge a 4...(4421)

Purchase: Saw this product on an infommercial
Pros: It is great from the sand bunkers. It get the ball up high and it even checks up once it is on the green. It is great fom difficult and buried lies as well. I have not yet used it out of heavy rough and that is only because I have trust in my current wedge.
Cons: Have no compaints for the purpose in which I bought this club which is solely for sand play.
Quality: I just set the club up square to my target and swing through. The club due to its rounde shape cuts through the sand. In comparison to the Alien wedge I have no problem looking at the cluc coemetically.

Review Summary: This is a good addition to my shortgame. My hct is 10 and if I can knock a few more shots off my game without beating balls all day out of a trap, I got it made.

Purchase: On line at lovettgolf.com for 99.00 for a total of 110.00 shipping included. They also have an 800 number.
Pros: Reliable and accurate. This is an odd looking 59 deg. club, at first glance, you'd think you were hitting a fairway wood but it is the real deal. The set up is exactly like a normal stance for say a 5 iron, ball in the center, nice, normal swing FOR EVERY SHOT! Even bunkers, high grass. They also send you a simple 20 min video that will show you how it is done...Quite simply your either going to regular grip and full swing or choke down a little. Believe me, your shots go straight and they go up and down softly every time. My favorite club in the bag and I was using some Taylor Made RAC wedges (now in the garage). Additionally, the bottom is spoon shaped and I have yet to catch the grass on my back swing.
Cons: NOTHING. They are great. There is a choice between steel and graphite, I chose the steel.
Quality: Beauty of a club, great feel and as odd as they look at first, well balanced. Quality shaft and grips and overall nice finish.

Review Summary: I actually saw this on an infomercial on the Golf Channel and was having such a bad time with my wedges, I said "what the heck-It really can not get much worse." This club is made for sand, rough, whatever. I've also hit some sweet lofts from around 70 yards within 10 feet of the green. Remember, I am rather new to the game and have been averaging around 115 per 18 holes, now I am in my mid 90's and dropping. One important thing to remember, you have to throw out everything you know about wedges in EVERY situation and just use your "normal" stance and swing. Good luck.

Went to the range yesterday to practice. Took the new 9.5* driver to test it out. I hit it a lot better than I figured I would with that factory insta
