Purchase: I bought these clubs at Golfsmith less than a year ago and I paid $450 for the set with steel shafts.
Pros: The set comes complete with 3-4-5 hybrid irons, and 6-SW cavity backs. I visited our Golfsmith store looking for a set of irons. At the start of the session I had told the salesman I was looking for game improving high trajectory irons. I also told him my handicap and strengths/weaknesses (hit irons badly and woods well). Armed with that information we picked up: Hogans, Callaways, Agams, McGregors, Taylor Mades, and Pings. The salesman then asked me to hit the Lynx set too, telling me that they were very good clubs. I spent a hour hitting the different irons. After the hour was over I was torn between the Taylor Mades and the Lynx. Nothing else compared. What made me swing to the the Lynx vs. the Taylors was the 3 hybrids which came standard with the set, plus the fact that it was $300 less expensive. The set also comes with a free matching SW which is a beauty from the sand. The SW has a wider sole much like the rest of the set. I have never been happier with a set of clubs. Although they are not really long, they are easy to hit from any condition: rough, fairway, or dirt. The Hybrids are a wonder, too. The clubs do what they advertise. Hit the ball high. Off center hits lose very little distance and there is absolutely no stinging feeling with mishits in any of the clubs. You can hit high or keep the ball low at will with any of the clubs in the set. The hybrids are great off the T and they have actually make me abandon my 5 wood for a 2 iron (also from Lynx). The clubs offer adequate feedback on mishits. The set can be custom fitted for lie with the exception of the hybrids. However, because of the curved bottom of the hybrids you don't need lie adjustments on the them.
Cons: The workability of the clubs isn't as well as my previous set (Callaway X-14 pro series) but who needs workability when you can constantly aim straight and hit the target. This means it becomes very hard to slice the ball with these clubs. One should expect to lose workability when going from none-offset clubs to offset cavity backs....
Quality: Excellent. Compares head-on to the top brand names. They have not cut any corners making these clubs. The standard steel shaft is a True Temper. After playing with them for 8 months, the clubs have held up wonderfully. The quality of the materials and finish is top notch (one hint: since the clubs carry a mirror finish and the hybrids have enamel backs make sure you purchase a set of neoprene oversize iron covers and have them on the clubs at all times. This keeps them nice and clean.

Review Summary: I have been a Callaway guy throughout the years. But these have opened my eyes to both new brands and technology. I am a 10 handicap and at this stage my shot making has gotten to a point where improvements to my game will come from the short game and putting. This set has finally put my T and fairway game where it needs to be.

Purchase: I purchased this set of irons on a whim during a recent trip to Golfsmith to purchase golf balls. I have wanted a new set of golf clubs for a long time knowing that technology has changed the game considerably. The cost of the set of Irons was $499.00.
Pros: During my conversation with the salesman, I was told that the design of the club was suppose to help square the clubface at impact. This is one area of my swing that I struggle with and figured anything that even remotely helped would improve my game. This set also included the new hybrid 3, 4, & 5 irons, which by far was the biggest selling point for me. I am very happy with how well I hit the hybrid irons and have a great deal of confidence when hitting them.
Cons: Other than I'm not sure that I like the way the club feels on a mishit there are not many things to dislike about the set.
Quality: The set of clubs seem to have been contructed well. There are no visable flaws and no unexpected sounds when hitting balls.

Review Summary: In summary, I am currently a 15.5 handicap golfer and have been as low as a 10.5. I purchased this of irons and flew to Las Vegas the next day and played four rounds of golf. Unfortunately, I was not able to hit on the range before playing and struggled with the new clubs. I have since gone to the range and cannot say that I am very happy with these irons. Good hits feel solid but seem to be 10 yards shorter than my current set. The club seems forgiving on miss hits but I do not like the feel when a ball is miss hit. I do however absolutely love the hybrid 3, 4, and 5 iron and being able to hit those three clubs alone may determine whether or not I keep the set.
