Purchase: Wanted to try an oversize 400+ cc driver. From a materials perspective, it seems to be the most technologically advanced driver available. Got it on Ebay for $250
Pros: Easy to set up and square the face to the ball. This is a 10.5 loft driver, and MacGregor claims that this and 11.5 loft are draw-biased. Has definitely cut down on my slice. Some ugly feeling mis-hits even went straight, although obviously not as far. Club head gives good feedback with regard to where you make contact. Strong metallic sound upon contact, which I like. For me, the quadra action shaft combined with the clubhead does help add yardage with solid hits - about 10 extra yards. The club has a light swingweight, which is great for me. Color of clubhead crown and shaft are a deep blue ... quite attractive looking!
Cons: A ball-mark indicator on the crown would be helpful, but the lack of one doesn't hurt. I've read reviews stating that the shaft on the Regular Flex feels whippy, which I agree with to a lesser extent. If I lose control of the ball, it's because of my swing, not the shaft. The grip feels nice but could be just a little bit bigger in my opinion.
Quality: Paint job is very nice, the feel is light yet very solid. When standing over the ball, you think this looks like a simple driver. But when you look at the clubhead in its entirety, you have to appreciate all of the craftmanship that went into it.

Review Summary: This retails for $400 or more, but can definitely be bought for much less on Ebay. Don't make a decision based on what Greg Norman says about it. I've compared this to the old Callaway Great Big Bertha II 380 cc, TaylorMade 580 XD 440 cc, Nickent Genex Cross 400 cc, Ping G2 460 cc. Of these, only the Nickent came in a close second for me personally.

Purchase: I always demo a club from my local pro shop and purchase the club from an ebay seller. So, in the shop they were asking $399.00 I purchased the club on ebay for $265.00 new in the wrapper. So do your homework before you fork out the extra bucks.
Pros: This club is absolutely everything Mr. Norman claims it to be. I will start by saying that I am a 2.3 hdcp (GHIN) and really don't need the extra 2mph this club and shaft combo offers. I will tell you that It absolutely delivers a faster club head speed and less spin no matter how high or low you tee a ball. The sound is impressive, not the tinny sound of a eye-o-matic, and not a dead sound of a Titleist. Right in the middle and pleasing to the ear. On a well hit shot you know it, and everyone else will also. The flight is perfect and when the ball lands it will bounce and roll forward at least 10 yds+, no matter how wet the conditions. I live in south Florida, thick air and wet ground. I owned an R7 tp, and after hitting this club I sold it and purchased the MACTEC.
Cons: There are only two small draw backs on this club. The first is the shaft flex. DONT BE FOOLED! I normally swing an x flex. I accomplish this by purchasing a stiff, having it tipped, and cutting it down to a 44" shaft. This club comes in a Regular, Stiff, Stiff +, and an X-Stiff. I needed to purchase a Stiff +, and cut it down 1 1/4" to get the X stiff frequency I needed, about a 265. So beware you'll need at least 1 flex firmer. This is because of the patented "loading" properties of the NVG shaft. But WOW, it snapps square in a Hurry and the Ball POPS!!! The second is a small lack of workability compaired to the R7 and Titleist E & K. I think it's because of the properties of the shaft. If you're a scratch or low single digit tournament golfer, this may hinder your game slightly. For the better and the average golfer, this club will absolutely add at least 10 - 15 easy yards without the need to change your swing. The shaft and Beta face will add the distance for you. My swing speed is 112mph avg. (115 with the MACTEC) and distance is 287 avg(296 avg with the MACTEC) with 10.5* bent to 9.75* and the 1* draw bias left alone.
Quality: This club sets up perfectly. The dark blue head, matching blue shaft, and if you get crazy (like me) the dark blue WINN G8 grip won't leave you singing the blues...(rim shot please...)

Review Summary: A+ for all golfers looking to add yards without swinging any harder. GET RID OF THE WEIGHTS IN THE BACK OF YOUR CLUB!!! Swing easy and the ball won't slice. This club will add the yards you sacrifice by swinging at 80 percent.
