Details: steel shaft, regular flex 3 thru PW

Purchase: Purchased this set from Play it again sports for $200.00 looking for a game improvement set of clubs.
Pros: Good looking at setup, they are forged cavity backs, and that is hard to find. I could hit 5 iron like a PW over tall pines to get on a green. Really easy to get ball in air.
Cons: Very heavy in the sole of the club, easy to hit fat. Even 4 and 5 iron will sky on you if not carefull. I hit 1 to 2 clubs shorter than my old Wilson's. Tried them for several rounds and worked at the range trying to get the feel. Bottom line they feel more like your holding an axe instead of a golf club. I guess that is why you do not see too many around. I think MacGregor has been passed by in the new era of golf equipment.
Quality: Well made club, good materals but it was definately a bad design for MacGregor.

Review Summary: Would not waist time and money on this club. It is discontinued for a reason, might make a better weapon for close quater combat.
