Purchase: I bought the set slightly used from 2nd swing for about $400. I decided to ditch my Mizuno Comp-Ez's and play a combo set, which could take my game to the next level.
Pros: These Irons are very easy to hit and have superior feel. I think that the combo (cavity back long and mid irons and muscle back short irons) is a great way for one to lower their handicap. The short irons offer unprecedented control and the mid to long irons offer a great combo of distance and accuracy. These factors have allowed me to become more aggressive with shots and I feel confident with every club in my hand.
Cons: I don't really consider this a flaw, but it wasn't easy making the switch from oversized graphite irons to a combo set. I feel as though I am better off from making the changes, as the new set has forced me to be in a better position throughout my swing. Otherwise the only flaw has been a slight loss in carry distance with my 9 iron and Pitching wedge.
Quality: This set came with rare stiff steel Dynamic Gold S-200 shafts and the standard MacGregor grips. The overall quality is top notch and the appearance of the clubs are great.

Review Summary: This set has truly taken my game to the next level. Having used this set for a half a year, I have taken my handicap down to a 7 from a 11 and have hit at least three more greens per nine. I feel that the transition from a cavity back set to a combo set was very rewarding. There may be no better way to correct your swing then to switch to a set, which will force you to correct your flaws.
