Purchase: Went to hit balls at my local range and seen the Macgregors for the first time. Cost is $1050 canadian 3 - Pitch, yes a little expensive.
Pros: The first time I hit them I knew they were for me. I currently play Hogan Apex forged and have had them since new, 12 or so years. Started looking about six months ago for a new set and could not find anything that compared to my Hogans. Well, my search is finally over. The Magregors hit purer, look awesome at address and when you put your best move on them, you look up not to see how far your ball has gone, but if you eaven made contact with the ball. Thats how sweet the sweet spot is on these bad boys. Miss hits are few and far when you have that much confidence at address. But even when it happens you get great feedback and only loose a little distance and accuracy.
Cons: Grips and the awful gold highlights. I painted mine with black and white lacquer, put on Tour wrap grips and would pay double for them now.
Quality: So far everything is great. They have a few small nicks now, but that is to be expected with a forged club in soft carbon steel.

Review Summary: Bottom line is that these clubs are sweet. Feel, trajectory, workability. With the exception of the grips and that gold highlighting. That is the only reason I gave these a 4 out of 5. Two thumbs up!!! Now that I am all pumped up, I am going to pay a little visit to the wife and keep it in the short grass!
