On 2002-09-26, A. J. Godbout rated this Maltby Mallet Putter RM703 a 5...(612)

Purchase: I wanted a replacement for my Callaway Mallet and decided on assembling one from Golfworks/Maltby Components.
Pros: This is a nice heavy and well designed putter head. It was easy to achieve a head balanced assembly. Creates a soft feel and works superbly in a pendulum style of move. Was thoroughly tested in flat, technical, long and short green conditions with above average results.
Cons: This is a good putter for the smooth player and long green grass. I found it a bit heavy for short and well cared greens.
Quality: I used a Rifle Stepless Steel Shaft and a nice GolfPride Softie Grip. Total cost was less than US$40.00. Mallet head is manufactured with precision and is made of high quality stainless.

Review Summary: Highly recommended model for those who play the municipal golf greens and are looking for a solid yet soft feel in a heavy putter.
