Purchase: I was going to get a Ping Tisi fairway, but the clerk asked me to try both, and this Japanese made 5 wood actually out performs the Ping. I purchased this one instead. I paid NT$7900 (UD$225) at the local golf shop in Taiwan. I later purchased a 9 wood, also, and also performs just as well as my 5-wood.
Pros: The oversized head (yes, it's bigger than the Ping counter part, and it gives a high handicapper like me a tons of confidence!) "bounced" the ball out like I have never experienced before. It also sounds great (DING!!!) when you strick a ball. I just thought I have to introduce this fairway wood to the people who have never tried it before.
Cons: It's not a name brand, at least not in US anyways, so my buddies are like, "Maruman who???"
Quality: Steel head, light weight graphite shaft. The quality is absolutely great.

Review Summary: The price is a little too high for a unknown brand. However, the quality, the solid contact, and the ease to get the ball in air is just superb. The 9 wood doesn't seem to have the same solid "ding" sound when I strike the ball, even when I hit it right on. But I suspect that it's the high loft that dampens the "ding".
