Purchase: Purchased at Golf Town, Richmond, B.C., Canada for $22 per dozen.
Pros: This ball has just the right feel, giving you distance off the tee and loft on approach shots. Also, the A10 jumps off the club face very predictably, and has a nice, soft feel so you don't get the kind of game fatigue you experience with harder "distance" balls. A great all-round ball.
Cons: It's unfortunate that it's been discontinued, (but still available). Grab all you can before supplies run out!
Quality: Solid low compression core for control and distance, with a soft ionomer cover, that provides soft feel and spin.

Review Summary: Before I tried the A10, I had always associated my swing with an unpleasant shock up the arms, especially on tee shots. With harder "distance" balls, as the round progresses, you get game fatigue very easily from that jolt up the club shaft. Also, I've found that most balls don't provide enough loft around the green. Especially on approach shots, with most balls, you have to "bump-and-run" because you're not able to drop-and-stop the way you'd like. On the other side of the spectrum, some of the balls these days are so soft, they don't have much distance. The A10 is right in the middle -- good distance, with good control and loft on the approach, and a nice soft feel to prevent game fatigue. Excellent ball for both seasoned players and novices.

Purchase: I bought these balls ot of the Inverness Golf Centre for £7.99 for 12.
Pros: The feel is lovely. I knocked a couple of approach shots within 6 feet of the pin with my 9 iron. I can honestly say I don't think I have ever tried a ball with as much spin. I know this sounds daft but I also love the big A10 logo. It makes the ball stand out from other balls.
Cons: The sheer amount of spin it gives off reduces the distance a lot. I can knock it a lot further with my Callaway Warbird. The RRP price is also sky high at £40 for 12. I'm just lucky I didn't have to pay that.
Quality: I can't say I found anything wrong with the consruction of the ball. If you press your finger against the cover of the ball you can really tell how beautifully soft it is.

Review Summary: Overall, a real players ball to play with. With an RRP of £40 quid they don't come cheap but nothing of this quality ever does. It offers a tremendous amount of feel and spin. This in itself is dangerous as a slice can then curve much more, diving over the fence, out of bounds. If you can manage to keep it straight though, you may well be rewarded with closer approaches.

Purchase: $24.99 at Dick's Sporting Goods.
Pros: Was looking for a cheaper alternative to the ProV1 and Hogan Apex Tour balls and found it in the Maxfli A10. Ball flight was true and spin was pretty good. Rock rolls true on the green as well. I think the Apex Tour has the truest roll , but the A10 was comparable.
Cons: This ball is not the ProV1 or the Apex Tour, but for the price it's definitely a capable alternative.
Quality: Good quality, good construction. Ball holds up very well over the course of a round.

Review Summary: For the price, it's a great ball. Would not pay $35 or $40, but for $25 it's a very good golf ball. Balls that rate a 5 are the ProV1 and the Apex Tour, but this is definitely at the top of the 2nd tier.
