On 2003-08-03, brian rated this Maxfli A3 a 4...(1958)

Purchase: Purchased on Ebay for $18.00 a dozen. A friend recomended it.
Pros: I like the balls all around preformance. Although I would like a little more distance. My swing speed is arround 115-120mph. I average about 275yrds. off the tees. Occasional 300+ depending on the conditions. This ball has great drop and stop qualities, actually a little more then I would like. For my bump and run attemps it seems to check up like velcro. I am looking for a ball that will release a bit more. I think I am going to try the ProV1X This sounds like the ball I am looking for, just not the cost taht I want. The A3 is a great everyday ball, but I would like to find a ball that I can really turn it on with. I have also tried the Nike TA2/spn about the same on distance as the A3 but it seemed to drift more in windy conditions. I have a few dozen of the Maxfli A10's on the way. I hope that these balls will be a step in the right direction.
Cons: I like everything about this ball but it seems that for my swing speed I am not getting my full potential.
Quality: Quality is good, but like with any spin ball the cover does get battle dammage as the round goes on. Well worth the cost considering the preformance.

Review Summary: If your swing speed is moderate about 105 or slower and you like a ball that spins near the green? The Maxfli A3 or the Noodle is a great ball for you! Both are Outstanding balls! And very affordable!
