On 2004-09-10, mr. divots rated this Maxfli M3 Tour LT a 3...(4329)

Purchase: I'm a ball hound and found one of these during one of my rounds. I had read mixed reviews about the M3's and wanted to see for myself what the "Low Trajectory" version was all about.
Pros: These are long off the tee. Mid-trajectory ball flight off both the Driver and irons is good for wind play. Durable cover.
Cons: It's obvious these were made to mimic the PROV-1x, but they fall short in terms of performance. They have a hard feeling, especially off the irons. The spin on approach shots and chips around the green is less than spectacular. Feels like a Top Filte XL Distance with a Urethane cover over it is the best way I can describe it.
Quality: It is durable and will last many rounds if you don't lose it.

Review Summary: I have played both the M3 Tour "Red" and now the LT "Black" from Maxfli. Neither is a Pro-v1 replacement. However, with these readily available at $19.99 or less new currently, they are hard to ignore. The regular M3 Tour "Red" has a softer feel and more control in my opinion, with slightly better spin characteristics.
