Purchase: Golf Galaxy $19.95
Pros: Man...I really wanted to like this ball. I'm a Maxfli fan, played the A10, A3 performance, Black Max etc. I just knew this was going to be a great inexpensive ball. I was invisioning a cheaper, softer, Maxfli version of the Calaway HX Hot. One good thing...it did putt well.
Cons: It's as hard as the Calaway HX HOT.It's not as long as the Wilson True Velocity. It's not as straight as the Precept Pwr Drive. It doesn't even come close to feeling as sweet off the club as the A3 performance. It's not as consistent as the Titelist So/Lo. All these balls are in it's price range. I name these balls because I fight a fade and I like a ball that doesn't present a lot of driver side spin. All these balls work great for me. I like Maxfil, thought I'd give them the try for my long-straight needs. Too bad, this ball did not impress me. I sliced it like a U-Tri Tour (great ball if your swing is great). It felt dead and hard compared to the other long/straight type balls. I'm only harping on it because I believe in Maxfli and know they can do better.
Quality: OK

Review Summary: Not my pick for this winter. May try the rest of the box again in the dead of the summer when I can handle a firmer ball.
