On 2005-11-19, Happy McHenry Owner rated this McHenry Tour Pure 400cc a 5...(6419)

Purchase: Knew McHenry cuz had original Tour Pure. Was not aware they came out with a 400cc though til I saw it on the internet. It actually came out in early 2003! Loved the orig and found out the founder of McHenry is, yes, Taylormade founder Gary Adams!!! We know Taylormade's incredible story... It's the same guy! Got mine from ebay in wrapper new for a rediculously low (less than $125) cuz person was selling last one.
Pros: Perfect look, black shaft and not too large 400cc head with gold graphics, just a beautiful club. I normally hit firm shaft but this has reg flex with mid/low kick point. The reg flex actually feels more like a reg/firm to me. Just a nice solid feel & sound from this club. Performance: I have the 10.5 degree and am 15yds longer (260ish)AND in play much more now! Case in point, I played twice over w/e, first round 75. To see if was fluke played next day different course for 1 under 71. (usual 77-81).
Cons: Absolutely no dislikes!
Quality: Exceptional quality. Shaft made for this club by UST Proforce (with their Tip Technology.) The original McHenry has the gold power ring across the back of the club head... this 400cc retained the PowerRing technology but it is now inside the back of the clubhead. Nice high end grip with McHenry name on it too.

Review Summary: Quality club by Taylormade founder. Fantastic look. Awesome sound, feel and power off the face. I've tried the top five makers drivers... put McHenry right there beside them when you look for a new driver. They seem hard to find but at the very least demo one before buying a driver. Call McHenry and sure they will give you list of dealers :>) Good luck.

Went to the range yesterday to practice. Took the new 9.5* driver to test it out. I hit it a lot better than I figured I would with that factory insta
