On 2005-11-22, Dion rated this Mitsushiba HES II a 4...(6426)

Purchase: I bought a 4-sw set from golf e-tail on the web. Being fairly short at 5-7, I have played a set of Lynx Tigress women's clubs for many years. I pretty much wore them smooth and needed something new. I wanted to experiment with senior flex, figuring it would be similar to the flex of the Tigresses. I paid $80 last winter; now you can pick up a 3-pw set in regular or stiff flex for $60 new on Ebay. Looks like they might be out of the senior flex and sand wedges.
Pros: The graphite shafts have really improved my control and touch with the short irons, particularly the pitching and sand wedges. Also, while these have sort of a hollow cavity high up on the clubhead, most of the metal is they really hits more like a blade club, which is OK by me because heel and toe hits have never been my problem and I can use the extra distance.
Cons: The longer irons, 4-5 mainly, are maybe a bit too whippy for a full swing. I don't have the diretional control I did with the Lynx steel shafts. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably go for a stiffer shaft. These are my first graphite clubs, so it's kind of a live and learn thing for me.
Quality: These are a pretty well-put-together club with a decent, if unspectacular, Paragon shaft and hyper elastic steel heads. Grips are soft and stick to the hands well. No complaints.

Review Summary: Obviously, these aren't Cobras or Callaways. But they are a club that somebody somewhere put some thought and effort into making. I hit a lot of clubs before I bought these and I definitely think they compare very favorably with clones and other clubs I tried out in the sub-$200 range. I plan to pick up a couple of hybrids to fill out the long end of the set, so I'll probably retire the 4 and maybe the 5. But the rest of the clubs are money and the two wedges are worth what I paid for the whole set.

Went to the range yesterday to practice. Took the new 9.5* driver to test it out. I hit it a lot better than I figured I would with that factory insta
