On 2004-09-08, Michael M. rated this Mizuno MP-001 Driver a 5...(4306)

Purchase: Bought it at a local proshop for $299 w/ Aldila NV65 after demoing just about everything out there (983, ERC Fusion, Ignite, R7, Eye-o-Matic, Si3, Launcher, 414 COMP Tour, SZ)
Pros: It goes very far (10-15 yds farther than my old 975 JVS) and is very stable with the NV shaft. I can actually feel the ball with this driver, which is something that I cannot say about most of the drivers that I have tried recently. It has a very penetrating trajectory and the ball goes where you point it. A mishit will not lose much distance, but can lose accuracy.
Cons: Not super forgiving in terms of accuracy, would not reccomend for those who slice the ball.
Quality: Feel is great, and there is no issue with the Composite/Titanium construction.

Review Summary: A great driver that has a fairly classic shape and feel, and modern distance.
