Purchase: Purchased at Golfsmith in Chicago for $169.00. Golfsmith and the Chicago Park District have a partnership and Advantage Card holders get 10% off at Golfsmith. Very nice deal for Chicago golfers.
Pros: The club sets up very well and hits better off of a flat lie in the box or on the fairway then it does on a tee. I don't tee it up even if I can! Ball flight is picturesque and penetrating, shapes well from left to right for me and goes LONG. Best of all, it comes down real soft. Great sound at impact, too. By far the most predictable fairway wood I've hit. Mis-hits are entirely my fault but tend to remain playable. The sound, distance, consistency and ball flight have gotten second looks from my playing partners who are used to me laying up. Not any more!
Cons: Could have used a headcover from Golfsmith... but otherwise very satisfied.
Quality: Gorgeous club couldn't even tell it was a composite until I took it outside in the sun. Nice combination of techy and traditional styles. Beautiful coloring and nice sweeping lines. The shaft matches nicely and the grip is perfect, I play Winn's but not on this club. My first Mizuno definitely lives up to the reputation.
