Purchase: $355 with trade in of Cleveland TA5s. Pros: These are the most solid irons I have ever hit. Although they are not the most forgiving, they are definitely some of the most versatile. I am a 20 handicap and I say "PHOOEY" to any talk that says these are for low handicappers only. My game has improved because I have been playing these irons and I plan on keeping them in my bag for quite some time. Cons: The grips get really slick, really quick. I had Golf Pride Tour Wraps put on. Quality: Quality irons. They look great in any bag, and my friend (who plays MP33s), is jealous of me!!! Review Summary: These are some of the finest irons made today. This is no exaggeration!!! My game has improved since I've had this set in my bag, and I believe they will help anyone looking for a high quality, versatile set of irons. Purchase: I Bought the set from www.golfbidder.co.uk for 549 UK Pounds. Pros: This is the most beautiful set of irons I ever played. When you set up for the stroke they seem like very thin blades. The finish is excellent. And the best about it is the playability. I compared them to my old Mizuno Pros with a sensicore S300 shaft and must say this is the best feeling in impact I ever had. Maybe it is also due to the Rifle Project X 5.5 shafts, but a well hit strike is like cutting through butter. Even not perfectly hit the direction is there and I loose maye 10-20 yards. Cons: Really nothing I could tell. Quality: They are grainflow forges irons with a semi-cavity back for iron 3 to 6, and a blade construction for 7 to PW. So why buy a combo of different types if one model does it all for you? Review Summary: Well folks, after playing since 30 years with blades this is the best club I ever had. Being over 50 you start to think wether a cavity back would reincrase your game to the level you played before. I tried one cavity club set (King Cobra tour forged irons) but I simply don't like the feel and the look. With the MP30s you don't get younger again, but you feel like you were, as you can play to your old standard with something that is beautiful from each view angle and gives you from the first shot a lot of fun and trust in your abilities. Purchase: Local driving range with Professional Fitting. After loft, length, and lie measurements were taken, I hit equivalent clubs from multiple manufacturers, including Ping, TaylorMade, Callaway, and MacGregor. These felt the best by far. Price was $799, but I got an Odyssey Two-ball putter for half price. Pros: With a high single digit handicap and a swing speed measured 110 mph, I knew I needed a stiff shaft. The DG S300 shafts on this set felt amazing mated to these beautiful irons. Look and feel were the main reasons I bought these clubs. I had not even considered Mizuno prior to hitting them. Now I am so glad my pro suggested Mizuno. Cons: There seems to be only one drawback so far. The steel is fairly soft, contributing to the excellent feel, however, I do play often. Thousands of range balls have caused more wear than I had expected. Quality: Very solid, but as described above, they seem to wear a bit faster than expected. Review Summary: Amazing set of irons. Forgiving with excellent feel. The best set of clubs I have ever swung. On 2003-06-09, Lee Ford rated this Mizuno MP 30 a 5...(1480)
Purchase: I purchased these irons from Uinta Golf in Salt Lake City, Utah. I paid 680 for the set (3 - P). I then purchased a gap wedge, Sand Wedge, and a Lob Wedge. Pros: These are the best clubs I've ever owned. I've never owned a set of clubs that allow me to work the ball the way these do. There is just enough forgivness to handle miss hits, but not so much that you can hit it off the toe and expect great results. The more I use these clubs, the more I like them. I would highly recommend these clubs to anyone with a 14 handicap or lower. Cons: When I purchased the extra wedges, I selected the black ox Sand Wedge because I use it the most and I wanted to be able to grab it more quickly from my bag. I'm sorry I did. The wedge is fine and I have no complaints about its performance, I just wish I had purchased the chrome Sand Wedge to compliment my set. Quality: I purchased the Mizuno MP 30 irons. Steel Shaft (Stiff). The irons are a pleasure to look at in my bag, but they look even better standing over them next to a ball. They have the appearance of a blade, but hit like a cavity back. Review Summary: The best clubs I've ever owned. I've owned sets of Cobra, Titleist, and Callaway. I've also had a custom set made for me from custom components. If I ever wear this set out, I will buy another one just like them.
