On 2009-09-28, DON rated this Mizuno MP 37 a 5...(8557)

Details: Stancard lie, Dynamic Gold S300 steel shaft, and factory grip

Purchase: Picked up a 6 iron to demo for $5 at a golf shop that was closing.
Pros: The MP-37 is an excellent iron, IF you have the game tp play a blade iron. Excellent feel on well struck shots, Very easy to work the ball. Good distance.
Cons: Very little if any forgiveness in this desigh.
Quality: Quality is first rate, as good as it gets in a set of irons.

Review Summary: The MP-37 is very close to the older MP-33 irons, The only difference is that the thin top section of the head is slightly larger, so the COG of the MP-37's is slightly lower. This means a little higher ball flight, and that's about the only differnce you will see. While the MP-37's are great irons, they are ONLY for the really good player. If your iron game is not the best part of your game, DON'T buy these irons. I couldn't see ANY difference between the MP-33's and the Mp-37's other than a slightly higher ball flight. Foregiveness is at a minimun, as with the MP-33's.

Details: Standard loft and standard lie. I changed out the S-300's and put my 6.0 rifles in them which improved my ball flight dramatically. The S-300's balloned the ball for me.

Purchase: I ordered my MP-57's through a local golf shop and paid $700.00 plus tax.
Pros: These clubs look and feel great. I have for the most part always played Mizuno's so I got what I was expecting.
Cons: LOSS OF DISTANCE! The long irons take a bit of getting used to. I love these clubs except for the fact that I went down half a club with them. Don't get me wrong I am not one of these golfers with a distance ego. If I need to take an extra club then great and if my playing partner is using one less iron than I am, then good for him! I had the MP-30's before the 57's and for example, with my 30's a solid 5 iron was 200 to 205. With the 57's a solid 5 iron is 190-195.
Quality: The construction and quality of Mizuno products are unbeatable.

Review Summary: Bottom line is that these clubs feel great and you can work the ball fine with them, but be ready to lose a club or at least a half of club compared to your old irons.

Purchase: Bought them at ProGolf in Durham, needed a new set to replace my t-zoid Pro 2's
Pros: these bad boys tell you exactly how you hit the ball. Also they are quite forgiving. nice crisp ball flight too. have any shot you need.
Cons: you really need to buy covers for these. i forgot to with my last set of zunos and they really marked up . Did not make the same mistake twice.
Quality: as with all zunos, the quality speaks for itself. Purest forgings available without going for a exotic Japanese set costing $2000

Review Summary: I have used mizunos since i began 5 years ago, i play off 5 now. I could be biased but i cant see myself ever going elsewhere. i can not wait to get on a links course to hit stingers with these wands! these clubs could be used by anybody up to a 9.

Purchase: IN UK-LONDON £549
Pros: Played with Wilson Staff FG51,Nike Forged Blades, Titleist 681's, MP 37's are just as good. 681's could be slightly better. MP 37' smaller head (suits me, rather the gross oversize at present). because it's smaller the overall weight, is lighter in your bag. Look stunning too.
Cons: Like to keep my clubs looking nice, therefore to keep all that shiny looking head, will need covers & care.
Quality: Top-Top class. Never tried Mizuno before, but they have been around, therefore know what golfers want.

Review Summary: For a Low hcp (5 below), what a club to play with. For someone brave or 5+, just trust your self and will benefit in long run. For a posser, looks good in the hands too.
