Im 16 years old, playing now for 5 months. On ebay, I saw these irons for $140.00 and read the greatest reviews of any irons. There are better than Nike, Callaway,Titleist, and Taylormade. Just looking at them boosts my iron confidence because they are the most attracitve irons in the worlds. My handicap for 18 is 1. These irons are so well forged, that taking divots feels good. The distance and control is unbeleivable, along with hitting the sweetspot.
The retail price is $800.00 and 23 PGA pros use this exact model. Im hoping to become a pro, so these tell you if you are hitting them correctly. I will use these until the day I die.
Par or Better Everything well, nothing. Just take good care of them and clean them every day. The carbon heads scratch easily so treat them like your own life! Unbeleivable
Buy them and have the confidence of Tiger Woods. On 2002-06-20, Liau rated this a 5...(203)
Got my set through E-bay for $225.
While demoing a 2 iron to add to my Tommy Armour V-31 irons, I tried bought it a MP-14 2 iron. After nailing most of the fairways 10-20 yards behind my friends hitting drivers, I complemented the 2 iron by buying a whole set off ebay. MP-14 served me well. On good swing days, I get addicted to the feeling of nailing it. On Average days, I can get what I want as well but about 5 to 8 yards short each time. Distence wise, these are as strong as any club out there but you need precision. It has plenty of feelback. I learned to interpres the feedback and I am able to make all sort of shots. The heads are small and heavy, which I like, enough to let me get out of the rough easier then with the armour V-31. The club forces me to play within my skills and strength - I guess this is a good thing. There is no getting out of the jail on bad days. But I can usually get out with good behavior - slow down and concentrate on making contacts. Probably switch on to Mizuno Pro-II sometimes in the future. Very clean design with minimal flare. The double nickle chrome wears and dings quickly but I cannot say if it affects my game or not. Had to replace a 6 iron with its chrome chipped. The club ages quickly.
I probabaly will be a life long Mizuno iron player. The feel of hitting on the sweet spot is addictive. Will hit the weights to increase my strength so I can hit stronger with going "all out" On 2002-04-09, Joseph rated this a 5...(38)
I got these irons at Dallas Golf a couple of years ago. I purchased a used set, cause I was (and still am) a poor college kid and they were a lot cheaper than buying new ($300). I wanted blades because I had been progressing from game-improvement clubs down to traditional irons. I sold my TA 3's and picked these up. I'll never regret the decision. I like everything about this club. At address, the club sets up perfectly. The topline is thin and it is very easy to line up to the target. The clubs also look amazing in your bag. When you walk up to the tee with a bag full of blades, people take you seriously. When hit on the sweetspot, the ball rockets off the clubface on what I could only describe as the perfect trajectory. The ball sails towards the target and lands softly. The feedback with these irons is, of course, unbelievable. Fades, draws, knockdowns, punches, and just about any other shots you can think of are easy to execute if your swing is on track. These irons are by far the best blade that I have tried. If you can still find a good set for a good price pick them up in a hurry! The only thing that I don't like about these irons is the feel on mishits. Your hands sting when you miss the middle of the clubface. If it's cold outside and you're not swinging well then watch out. As with all other Mizuno products, the craftsmanship of these irons are superb. Mizuno really took their time designing these irons and it shows. The only complaint I have is that the chrome nicks and dents quite easily, but that has little effect on the playability of the clubs.
Find them, buy them, love them. I did and I'll never look back.
