On 2004-08-11, JGlover - Plymouth, MN rated this Mizuno MP-29 a 5...(4016)

Purchase: Purchased this set at Golf Galaxy for $265. Apologies to those who payed $450-550 on E-bay, ah hee he. *Note: buy these used for the heads, then get them re-shafted to your specs at your local pro-shop.
Pros: These clubs are a golfers dream when it comes to working the ball. Singlehandly these irons are grooving me into a better golfer. I'm an 11 hcp and within 1 week, I am producing the most masterful shots of my career. From what I've already seen, I expect nothing short of single digits next season. Piercing ball flight. Deadly accuracy. Perfect workability.
Cons: Purchased them used, so a few minor blemishes typical of forged blades. The shafts on the clubs at the time of purchase were too stiff and had worn grips. I need a little softer feel and a tad more flex. No big deal though, I'm having them re-shafted with Royal Precision Rifle Shafts.
Quality: I believe these irons are hand made with a retail price of around $1200. Astheticly the chrome is coming off a bit on the 5-iron, but no big deal. I was told you can have them re-chromed and re-finished back to mint condition. Other than that, nothing short of pure bliss.

Review Summary: If you can't handle driving a ferrari, don't buy a ferarri. However, if you are a player seeking the ultimate irons, you'll hit these and literally drool over them. Have I found the holy grail? YES, YES, YES. .ps: I played Wilson Staff blades in the past and really liked them. These irons are so superior to them it's not even funny.
