Details: I purchased these irons with S300 shafts. I also hit the rifle 5.5 shafts that are equally good, but a little more expensive.
Purchase: I Bought the irons at Golfsmith in Orlando for $850. I special ordered the club which took about 10 days to get. Believe me it was well worth the wait. I bought them after hitting a friend's set. After 25 years of hitting cast irons, I had forgotten how good a forged club can feel. Pros: These are by far the best irons that I've ever played. Feel is unbelievable; I can work the ball high/low or left/right. This iron is as long, or longer, than any iron that I've played. They are very good at digging the ball out of Bermuda rough. They are also as forgiving as an iron can be. Cons: There is nothing about these clubs that I don't like. Quality: Construction is first rate; Mizuno forging is second to none Review Summary: I've owned top rated cast clubs, i.e., Callaway, Cleveland and Ping. Those clubs are good, but there is no comparison to my MP60s. I'm tempted to buy another set of these in case Mizuno stops making them.

Purchase: Grabbed them used from a reseller for $550. They were in excellent condition and the 3 and 4 irons looked brand new. I have heard that Mizuno allocates only five sets per month to any retailer. Pros: I like the feel of all the irons at impact, great feedback, workability, yet forgiving. Medium trajectory on short and mid irons. I planned to replace the 3 Iron with a hybrid, but after one round decided to keep it in the bag and evicted my 5 wood instead. Cons: I did not like the stock Mizuno grips and replaced them with Golf Pride Tour Wraps built up with two layers of tape. Quality: A worthy upgrade from the MP30s. They inspire confidence, and look great in the bag and at address. Review Summary: I've been playing perimeter weighted irons since Titleist brought out the 690B and have tried, Hogan, Cleveland, Taylor and Cobra. The MP60s are a leap forward in the hollow-back evolution and offers great playability with adequate forgiveness. On 2005-12-31, Mirage Jeff rated this Mizuno MP60 a 5...(6555)
Purchase: Purchased the clubs on eBay from Global Golf, after buying a set of MP 32's for my son when in California,(great clubs). Paid $549.00, plus delivery. Not a mark on them!.With the Christmas break they still only took 7 days to get here. Pros: Just simply the best "feel" irons I have played. Only played 2 rounds so far, and having to adjust my tempo due to the heavier feeling heads than my previous irons,(Ping G2's).Seem to play a lower trajectory in the short iron, (good in the wind),but similar in the longer, to the G2's.Our courses have 328 Bermuda greens so don't normally get much stop with the irons. The 60's seem to be stopping better.Normally have a slight fade, but with these, I can even work in a slight draw. Cons: My only complaint was that the grip size was more suited to a 10 year old.Easily fixed when I replaced them myself after the first game, with Lamkin Crossline Midsize. Quality: Could not fault the quality!Forgings are great, they look a million dollars. Review Summary: Would recommend the MP60's to anyone who wants a "feel" club.Possibly not for those who don't play a lot, but for those golfers looking to test their swings, and be rewarded with the "pure" contact, go for it!.Now if only I could find a driver that does that!.
