Details: Standard length/lie, bought brand new

Purchase: I bought these at mr.golf on closeout for 499.00 brand new in the plastic
Pros: Very solid, consistant set. Exacting yardages, very consistant. And always the buttery soft feel mizuno is famous for
Cons: If your an 80's shooter having a bad day, these won't help a lot. You have to put the swing on the club to get the results people know mizuno for.
Quality: Flawless in every aspect

Review Summary: If you've got a solid game and want softer feel and more overall consistancy then these are for you!

Details: Dynamic Gold stiff shafts are perfect for me.

Purchase: I tried many sets and this felt right for me.They were new then so I paid quite a bit in 2006.
Pros: The sweet spot.
Cons: I don't hit them high enough.
Quality: Forged steel only they could hold up better.

Review Summary: I played with Hogan Radials and they held up

On 2006-06-14, Schwells rated this Mizuno MX 23 a 5...(7110)

Details: Regular Shaft

Purchase: I paid $590.00 and traded my set of Titleists plus a driver. After all was said and done I paid $335.00 cash for the set. I had not played in nearly two years. Although my swing was still on plane, I was coming through the ball far slower than I had ever done before and with the club face way open. I felt as thought I need a game improvement club.
Pros: The MX 23 looks more like a players club than my Titleists! The forged irons look and feel great. When I hit the sweet spot, which is huge, I can't believe the positive feedback I receive.
Cons: Not much, the longer irons require a bit more umph to get the distance, but that is about it.
Quality: Of the best I have ever seen and I have played Titleist, Ping and Taylor Made. Titleist longer than any.

Review Summary: My game is better than ever. I left two years ago an 11 handicap and now I am well on my way to the single digits I believe. For me, these irons have it all and can do it all.

Details: mx 23 r 300 gold shatfs

Purchase: purchased on ebay,last week,$580.00
Pros: love the feel of the ball, even on off centred shots.Even to my surprise, hitting a fat shot, thinking (oh no!)still had whats of height and distance.Best of all.my favorite ball is titleist nx tour.My last set which know backup plan B.Was hogan cft, which would chew a ball to death! after nine holes, looked like a dog had been chewing it!Same ball going on four rounds ,still looks in 90 percent game shape.
Cons: just comparing to my fiited hogans cft.3 thru 7 iron were the same the same lenght, but the 8,9,wedge were one inch short per clob?.Also found the the grip was sub par.looks like a $2.00 victour grip.
Quality: love the look, feel, workmanship in each club.I even love the sound they make putting in the bag!

Review Summary: a quick run down of past club sets, hogan edge, hogan cft, wilson robert mandrella forged irons, wilson fluid feel blades, just to name a few. With that said the mizunos, feel the best, off centred shot results are better, hit and roll on certain shots, happen as i pictured it would happen, happens more often then ever before.love my mizunos...good job!

Purchase: I am that person you know that has to hit every tpye of club and read all the reviews before I make a decision. I got burned on a set of Tour Edge hybrids and swore that would not happen again. I hate waisting money. I decided to purchase the MX-23 instead of the Callaway X-18's because forged seened to fill better. I also wanted a set of club that I could us as my game improved. I payed $625 at nevada bob's in Fayetteville, NC. Thay hit straight and are pretty long.
Pros: The clubs are wonderful IF you hit on the inside of the ball. If you come over the top, you will need to practice often to realize the full potential of the clubs. I really injoy the fell of forged and don't thing I will ever go back to cast.
Cons: Like I stated before, You need to practice and swing on the proper plain to hit the ball well with the MX-23s.
Quality: They are vert well made. Mizuno is a great company when it comes to quality. I am goig the Demo their New driver and 3-wood tomorrow and may add them to the bag as well.

Review Summary: The mx-23's are a great set of clubs for the golfer that is not great yet but is working to become a great golfer.

On 2005-12-11, Moe rated this Mizuno MX 23 a 1...(6473)

Purchase: I have had these clubs for 3 months and paid $625. I purchased them from a local golf store. I bought these because they are forged and I needed a little more accuracy. I ordered them and they came within a week.
Pros: These are beautiful clubs. The shorter irons work good for me(7 thru wedge). High ball flight and workability.
Cons: Way too much offset with the longer irons. I hit a natural draw but could fade the longer irons with my other set(Titleist 762's). These clubs in the longer irons make me over hook the ball. If you fade the ball and are looking for a draw, these clubs are for you. I will be ordering a new set of Titleist iron's before the year is out. These clubs are not for me. I need less offset. I ordered these with a 2 degree upright lie angle, but they were shipped with a standard lie. Mizuno does not even list what the swing weight is. it said it was "best". Best for who?
Quality: Beautiful clubs. Recess in the back of the longer irons make cleaning a little difficult.

Review Summary: These are game improvement clubs, but are not for the player looking for workability. If you need to hit a fade, forget it! Too much offset.
