Purchase: Purchased from GolfSmith
Pros: Great loft and solid handling
Cons: Shaft length seems shorter than standard
Quality: Steel shaft. Good quality.

Review Summary: Other than shaft length which I've adjusted for - a solid started set. Happy with the investment.

Purchase: i was hitting wilson deep reds, king cobras and the mizuno mx-15s at a local golf shop with intent to buy one of three.i just loved the mx-15s.i wanted a forgiving iron and they are just that.the wilsons and king cobras are good irons dont get me wrong, but the mizunos are what i was looking for.i paid $450 for these irons. all 3 sets of irons were in my price range of about $450 to $600.
Pros: i love how forgiving and accurate these irons are.slight mishits turn out to be good shots with these clubs.easy to hit long irons and short irons that you can zero in on pins with.
Cons: my only problem with these irons are that i am now 1 club less.with my old irons i hit a 7 iron 160 yards now i hit the 7 iron 150 yards still ok.but these irons are very accurate and that is what i want from irons.i hit the driver 250 yards so if i am hitting a 6 iron in place of a 7 iron into a green no big deal.let your driver give you distance and let your irons get you close to the pin.
Quality: the irons are made very well.i have had them for 8 months and so far all is ok

Review Summary: if you want a forgiving accurate iron that is not to pricy than the mx-15s are the club.good for the golfer who scores in the 70s as well as a the golfer who scores in the 100s.

Purchase: I tried the Cleveland TA-7s, some Ben Hogans and the Mizuno MX-15s. The Mizuno's were the cheapest of the bunch by approx $100s at all the local golf stores ($499 vs $599 for Cleveland or Ben Hogans). I chose all these clubs to test b/c I am a high handicapper and I wanted a forgiving club with a cavity back. I didn't really like the way the Hogans felt in my hand/laid on the ground but I hit the Cleveland & Mizuno clubs really well. The only difference I saw was the $100 extra for the Clevelands. I was actually able to score the Mizunos on Ebay for $240 + shipping brand new so I think I got a great deal. In the end, the TA-7s would have actually been several hundred extra.
Pros: The club heads are kind of heavy but if you let the club do the work and take a nice easy swing they are incredibly straight and easy to get into the air. I've had a few of my buddies give them a try and they prefer them to their own clubs that they paid almost double for (Callaways & Nikes). I get a lot of compliments on the looks as well and most people think I dropped a fortune on them which is kinda nice.
Cons: My only complaint is that I lost a few yards (10) over my previous clubs. However, it only took me 2 rounds to get used to the new distance so its really not a major issue. Really all it means is that you move up a club in most scenarios. Its well worth the sacrifice for the forgiveness you get and the improved accuracy.
Quality: The clubs seem really well constructed but the face on my pitching wedge seems to be wearing quicker than the others. However, I think thats because I don't own a sand or lob wedge and use it for everything inside 110 yds. Mizuno also uses the True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts and that is an added bonus.

Review Summary: Great clubs. I have shaved about 17 strokes off my game since I started playing regularly 4 months ago (105 to 88). I've only had the Mizuno's for 3 of those months and admittedly, some of the improvement is due to just how crummy I was to begin with. However, I really feel these clubs have made a big difference and I prefer hitting my 3 & 4 irons over a fairway wood b/c they are consistantly straight, long and easy to get off the ground. How many people do you know who can say that about their 3 & 4 irons?
