Details: I have the 3-pw with Dynamic Gold S300 Shafts.

Purchase: traded in a set of callaway x12s. noticed immediate difference. even though i have difficulty shaping my shot, i always know that if i make a descent swing, the ball will go where i want it to. Much easier to hit than the callaways. my brother has the big bertha 06 models and i hate them compared to mine. there is really no comparison in my opinion. the mx 17 is just a better set of clubs
Pros: long irons are so easy to hit and have a distinct sound, almost like a metal wood when you pure them. low irons feel like a trampoline. ball explodes off club at impact.
Cons: somewhat hard to work the ball which is to be expected out of a game improvement iron.
Quality: i dont take the best care of my clubs and these still look like i don't play very much. i have put some abuse to them and they still perform and look good.

Review Summary: would recommend to the mid and high handicapper that is not quite ready for a good set of forged iron.

Details: Custom fitted.

Purchase: I aquired this set of golf clubs from Golftown, and ended up paying about $500 canadian for them. The reason why I wanted these clubs is because I am only 14 and do not have a job, so I needed something high quality yet cheap. I looked at many reviews, and these came out on top.
Pros: I really like this set because it is so forgiving with the long irons, and I am laser-accurate from 200 yards in. This is the perfect set of clubs for someone with a score in the 80's.
Cons: The only things I don't like are the grips and the fact that it is harder to shape shots, although this is not a major problem for me yet.
Quality: These are all of the quality you wouyld expect from a set made by Mizuno, and I highly reccommend them.

Review Summary: If you have the money, buy these! Do not buy any other Irons, you will not regret this if you do buy these ones!

Details: Exsar Blue Graphite Shaft (P-3 Irons)

Purchase: Bought off the shelf from a local golf shop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for $475.00 USD after reading some great reviews about them in the Internet and demoing it at the same golf shop.
Pros: I like the look of the irons but what really got to me is the overall feel, easy to hit and foregiveness of the irons.I was quite surprised that I can easily hit the 3 and 4 irons which I have difficulty handling with other brands. The high trajectory of the short irons exudes confidence in you when attacking the greens. Even the 4 iron allows the ball to land softly on the green despite the fact that I have never learn to impart backspin on my iron shots. The extra wide sole and low center of gravity is also a confidence booster when setting uo and I have improve my playability from different lies.
Cons: The stock grips are good but I believe in customising the grips to suit your hands and I have changed mine to Golf Pride.
Quality: The clubs are really top quality and although I felt the need to customise the grips, it still excellent value for the money you have to fork out to buy a new set of irons as compared to other top of the market brands.

Review Summary: I would recommend these clubs for high to mid handicapper to improve their golf game as I have greatly improved my iron play since buying them i.e. from the 90s to 80s and it is also worth the value for the money spent as you don't need to pay a bundle to get a really good set of irons.

Details: Custom fitted: Shafts are 1/2' inch short. 1* flat. Regular Flex Shaft.

Purchase: With the season upcoming for golf I needed some irons to upgrade from my old set of King Cobra ss-I (3-PW). I went to Golfsmith and did the club fitting there and then ordered them from Mizuno and had them delivered within 2 weeks. I spent around $500 on the irons.
Pros: I find the high trajectory and the forgiveness the club offers to be simply excellent. Despite the fact that these are very forgiven, they allow shaping of the ball with the proper swing. Looking down on the club gives you the confidence that you need to attack the pin with the nice design of the club head.
Cons: The Mizuno MX-17 seem to have a difficulty out of the rough compared to other irons out there. The problem isn't always present because the irons only seem to be bad out of deep rough. I found that the grips that came with the clubs weren't up to quality standards of Mizuno, I quickly had to re-grip the entire set because I noticed the grips weren't holding up very well.
Quality: Clubs seem to be manufactoried with quality with the exception of the grips.

Review Summary: It seems any handicap be it high 30's or scratch can benefit from the affordable Mizuno MX-17 irons. The irons fit nicely for several different approaches to the game and definitely have improved my overall iron play. I recommend them to anybody struggling with their irons because the Mizuno's are going to please you.

Purchase: I've been playing custom-made clones for about 4 years and recently bought the MX-17's from an on-line golf shop for about $350 USD (risky business buying on-line I know, but I was feeling adventurous!) I knew Mizuno made a great product and I like what I'd seen at a recent golf show. Most golf stores in my area sell them for $499 USD.
Pros: Instantly I liked the way these irons set up. They ooze confidence - a thick sole and top line (I'm not used to such a heavy looking top line but it sure makes a difference on crappy lies!) The shafts are top quality true tempers and the grips are good and tacky. The club really easily becomes an extension of the golfer.
Cons: Give me enough time and I'm sure I'll find a problem with them. But at present what I hate about these clubs is that I didn't get them sooner!
Quality: These are Mizuno's - so read "exellent quality" from sole to grip. For an average player using off the rack clubs without any custom tweaking they performed flawlessly. Some players may want a different kick point in their shafts, which I believe is available. These are also the only cast irons in Mizuno's line, but that act like their forged bretheren.

Review Summary: I used my new MX-17's recently on the course for the first time and knocked 8 strokes off my average score and gained 10-15 yards in distance. My accuracy is way up. The greatest improvement is in the amount of confidence these irons gave me on less-then-perfect lies or on "scarry shots".

Purchase: Acquired seven irons (4-PW)at Chippewa Golf in regular flex graphite for $499. My goal was to purchase irons with graphite shafts to compensate for loss of clubhead speed in my 67 year old body and to reduce the shock for my shoulder recovering from rotator cuff sugery. Initially, the club's natural beauty caught my attention but it was the value that held my attention. I have 1-3-5-7 Mizuno woods and their playability and quality made me a repeat Mizuno customer.
Pros: In addition to the natural good looks and price, I liked the wider sole. It allowed me to achieve a needed higher trajectory with the low and mid irons. I am an 18 handicapper who needs all the forgiveness I can acquire and these clubs deliver a lot of forgiveness. The technology is all there, with different game improvement technologies working in the lower and upper irons.
Cons: Really nothing to dislike. Initially, I found myself hitting left but I found this was not the club's fault. Following an aligmnent and swing correction, I was hitting long, high and with a desirable slight draw. The set does not contain gap or sand wedges which may concern some but not me.
Quality: The low and back center of gravity really does get the ball airborne quickly, without loss of distance. The quality could be seen and felt at impact. Feedback is there but does not overwhelm.

Review Summary: Traditional quality from Mizuno. Untraditional value and foregiveness from Mizuno. Try them and you will like them!
