Details: graphite shaft - regular stiff

Purchase: Experimenting at the golf shop - I own mp32's - thought I'd play around with these for kicks.
Pros: I hit these farther than anything else I've tried. I prefer blades, but these go an extra 15 yards - very fun to hit
Cons: not blades, feedback less than blades.
Quality: Mizuno seems like the rolls royce of clubs to me. I can't complain much about any of the top names, ping, taylormade, callaway, bridgeway j33, or cobra, but these seem extra nice, well crafted

Review Summary: I've never experienced such a difference in distance. I'm making room in the bag for at least 3 of these.

Details: Standard Loft. Dynamic Gold Regular Shaft

Purchase: I purchased this set of irons new at Golf Etc. in Apple Valley, MN via a trade. The total price prior to the trade was $499.95. My prior set of irons are Mizuno Comp EZ's, which have been the best set of irons that I have owned. The Comp's are stiff shaft and the MX-19's are regular. I have retained both sets and plan to transition to the regular shafts over time.
Pros: In my opinion, Mizuno is number one in iron quality and playability. The MX-19 set is comprised of the 4 iron through gap wedge. So far, I love the wedge and Gap which are 46 and 50 degrees each. I have incorporated the 9-Gap with my Comp's to start out and it is working fine. I had been informed to expect a high ball flight with the MX-19's, but have not experienced that so far. The cast feel is different than the Comp's, but accuracy, feel and playability have been excellent.
Cons: I have not experienced any negatives and based on past experience, I do not expect I will. I may be about 1/2 club shorter than the Comp EZ's, but require more time and rounds to figure that out.
Quality: Mizuno makes excellent quality products. Tha club is designed to be forgiving, so therefore the head sizes and appearance have a little more bulk. However, this is not evident when the club is in the address position, but is helpful in ball striking, etc. The heads are cast and have the typical Mizuno quality

Review Summary: Great price, quality and manufacturing reputation. I expect they will provide the same great golfing experience I have had with my Comp EZ's.

Details: I got the Dynamic Gold Lite shaft, because I found I got a more consistant flight than the standard.

Purchase: I got these through the UK's Mizuno custom fitting centre at Pachesham Park in Leatherhead, Surrey. I paid £350 ($600) for 5-SW plus a hybrid. You can get them cheaper elsewhere, but I like to support my local club, and the custom fitting was an awesome experience, and free: highly recommended, no matter what standard you are.
Pros: These are currently Mizuno's only cast irons. The upshot of this is that they are really really good for high handicappers. They are very forgiving yet they give good feedback too. For instance, if you hit one off centre, you will still feel the vibrations in your hand so you know you hit a bad shot, but the ball will usually go pretty straight, pretty high and almost as far as if you hit it dead on, so they really inspire confidence. The long irons (3 - 6) are draw biased to encourage you to square the face at impact, and this is a really nice touch. My slice doesn't normally affect my irons so I can (sometimes) get an actual draw, which is very satisfying to see. They play a lot longer than I expected an iron with the amount of perimeter weighting that they have, but not as long as the MX-25's (which I also tested). I find the scoring irons and wedges really accurate (if a bit chunky), so they fill me with confidence from within 150 yards. The sand wedge is also great fun around the greens, it's solid for approach and for chipping. They are also Mizuno's cheapest irons by about £200 ($350)
Cons: They are hardly the Mona Lisa. Very chunky, both in the sole (which admittedly does make them very user friendly) and the topline, so they are not exactly aesthetically pleasing, especially compared to other Mizuno irons. And like I said earlier, they don't go as far as other Mizunos I tested. Also, they are cast irons, so those of you that want a forged game improvement iron should probably fork out for the MX 25. No complaints about the way they play though.
Quality: Mizuno have a superb reputation for their irons, using the soft Hiroshima steel, and I can see why with these, they are excellent quality.

Review Summary: I love these irons, and for anyone with a handicap over 20, I would definitely recommend them. If you can get past the looks, you will adore the way these play. They really inspire confidence in my game, whether from the tee, fairway, rough or around the greens. If they were a person, I would say they were Ronaldinho: Ugly as sin, but play like a dream!
