Purchase: www.golfbidder.co.uk, 4-pw, steel stiff shafts $500 I brought these, after having mizuno's years ago, loved them and was stupid to get rid of them !!! I've tried all the obvious choices open to me (TA7's, 704cb's, RAC LT's) I don't like offset, or at least the silly amount on callaway's, ping's and RAC OS.
Pros: I had a set of Nike Pro-Combo's and loved the feeling of hitting a forged club, but this was only 1 in 5 strikes so they weren't very forgiving. I decided to try the MX-23's because of the forged feel and the forgiveness. well hello baby !!! These irons are SWEET. I'm a natural fader of the ball, but with these I can hit a draw or a fade at will. My distance with these is about the same as with all other clubs but the best bit is the consistancy they really are so easy to hit and go where I point them. If you are going to spend the money on a new set of irons, you are a fool not to demo these clubs out along with eveything else you think is right.
Cons: I tried both regular and stiff shafts, because my swing speed sits around 95-100mph and I found that because the clubs are designed to hit a high ball the regular was just ballooning, so I went with the stiff steel. I now have total control over the club head, and can hit knock downs / punch shots with confidence that it's not going to keep climbing. Only other thing is some people might find the 3-5 irons a bit off putting at address because you can see the weight cavity, but after you've hit the ball a few times you won't care because of the results !!
Quality: Mizuno make the best quality irons full stop. These are the best value FORGED iron you will find, the forged club really teaches you what is a good shot, and the MX-23 forgives you when you don't PERFECT !

Review Summary: A fantastic club which I can only recomend to everyone. Demo it when you are looking for new irons, make sure you try the different shafts on offer. The best club you can buy without going for a blade. True forged feedback, real forgivness on off centre strikes.
